Dersin Amacı: Bu dersin amacı öğrencilere Türk siyasal hayatındaki güncel konuları tanıştırmaktır. Bu ders tematik bir yaklaşımla Avrupalılaşma, modernleşme, demokratikleşme, siyasal İslam ve Kürt sorunu gibi güncel sorunları değerlendirmektedir. Bu güncel konuların temel aktörleri ile süreçleri ve ilgili teorik yaklaşımlar analiz edilmektedir.
Dersin İçeriği: Modernleşme, Demokratikleşme, Sivil Asker İlişkileri, Siyasi Partiler, Popülizm ve Patronaj, Devlet ve Sermaye, Ekonomi Politikası, Avrupalılaşma, Sivil Toplum, Siyasal İslam, Kürt Sorunu, Toplumsal Cinsiyet, Dış Politika.
