Course Objectives: Having students understand the basic rationale of Law of Obligations and enabling them to resolve the issues about contracts, torts and unjust enrichments in practice.
Course Contents: In this course; general principles which construct the Law of Obligations, contracts, formation of the contracts, accaptence and offer, ability to contract, fundamental or non-fundamental mistake, fraud, threat, lesion, obligations arising from the contract, freedom of contract and its limitation towards mandatory rules and public order, liability arising from torts and unjust enrichments are taught.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Usage of fundemental principles of Law of Obligations which the students shall find necessary after their graduation
  • 2- Ability of defining which type of legal relation that one is encountering and which norms in Law of Obligation shall be applied
  • 3- Accurate evaluation of the norms in Law of Obligations which are currently in force
  • 4- Ability of Law of Obligation disputes resolution which the students may encounter as a judge/lawyer/advisor after their graduation
