Course Objectives: To enable the students to comprehend the basics of Turkish Law of Obligations and Law of Contracts, Torts and Liability Law.
Course Contents: In this course, foundation of the contract, contractual obligations and liabilities, torts and responsibility that is borne out of it and some specific sources of obligations (unjust enrichment and action without authority) is taught to students.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Usage of fundemental principles of Law of Obligations which the students shall find necessary after their graduation
  • 2- Ability of defining which type of legal relation that one is encountering and which norms in Law of Obligation shall be applied
  • 3- Accurate evaluation of the norms in Law of Obligations which are currently in force
  • 4- Ability of Law of Obligation disputes resolution which the students may encounter as a judge/lawyer/advisor after their graduation
