Course Objectives: Starting from the prehistoric period, the course examines the history of interior architecture and practice within a social and cultural framework and from a global and comparative perspective.
Course Contents: History and theory of interior architecture starting from prehistoric period to contemporary architecture.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Students learn about the architectural thinking and practice in the studied period.
  • 2- Students gain an intellectual foundation about the social and cultural background of architectural thinking.
  • 3- Students understand the universal and local aspects in the development of architectural thinking.
  • 4- Students link the abstract architectural concepts with concrete historical and geographical realities.
  • 5- Students recognize the foundational styles, architectural typologies and forms
