To improve the experience gained on body, movement and space relation during the second year while bringing it together with text and object use. To encourage the actor to take risks while exploring the organic movement through the space, and speaking and using objects while moving. |
| Course Contents: |
Compositionally, in 'Action Strategies' exercises, the main points of focus are the dynamic structure of the performance, movement and body qualities during the creation, progression and presentation stages of the product. Terms such as body, movement, energy, space, sound, light, time-rhythm, etc. are examined as an artistic communicative device in the scope of composition. The focuses of study in this course, which is reinforced with body coordination, somatic theories and applied anatomical instructions, are mapping the individual body, (basic anatomical knowledge, biomechanical system, diaphragm, etc.) understanding the physical habits and increasing the bodily coordination and functionality of the person in different rhythms and paces. Exercises that help to combine physical expression with text and objects are also involved. While experiencing the space as a dynamic in the architectural sense, various possibilities of object use during movement are explored. |
| Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO): |
- 1- To improve body and object relation.
- 2- To heighten the awareness of one's moving body and object coordination in space.
- 3- To explore new possibilities of movement and object use while working on a text.
- 4- To refresh the previously gained knowledge of body alignment and general anatomy.
