Course Objectives: To teach students the following: 1. to be able to define, explain and interpret theoretical knowledge in clinical psychology 2. to be able to apply theoretical knowledge of clinical psychology in a variety of applied settings 3. to be able to identify and explain human behavioral, emotional and cognitive processes
Course Contents: This course discusses in detail the fundamental topics in clinical psychology including historical developments in clinical psychology, its areas and rules of application, major theoretical approaches and its relationship to psychopathology.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Be able to define, explain and interpret theoretical knowledge in clinical psychology (as one major area of psychology)
  • 2- Be able to apply theoretical knowledge of clinical psychology in a variety of applied settings
  • 3- Be able to identify and explain human behavioral, emotional and cognitive processes
