Course Objectives: To teach the students the following: 1. To be able to understand the fundamentals, major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings in major areas of cognitive neuropsychology 2.To be able to compare, discuss, criticize research findings, problems and issues and theories in cognitive neuropsychology.
Course Contents: Topics include brain organization and functional neuroanatomy, attention and perception disorders, memory systems and amnesia, language and reading disorders, executive functions, motor deficits, creativity, and neural plasticity.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Be able to explain core concepts, theories, and findings in cognitive neuropsychology
  • 2- Be able to analyze cognitive processes using evidence from neuropsychological disorders.
