Course Objectives: To teach students the following: 1. To be able to critically evaluate empirical evidence and claims utilizing scientific criteria 2 To be able to collect empirical evidence using sound scientific methods and report the findings in a manner that is valid and usable. 3. To be able to develop and utilize measurement tools for psychological phenomena.
Course Contents: This course surveys the basic features of child and adult psychological assessment and assesment tools most frequently used. Ethical principles in the use of these tests, factors that may influence test results and reporting of the results of the assessment are some of the topics that will be covered in this course.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Categorize psychometric measurement tools.
  • 2- It decides which measurement tool to use in which situation.
  • 3- Understands and adopts ethical rules in psychometric measurement
