Course Objectives: Biotechnology and Bioengineering presents the most up-to-date research on bio-based technologies. It is designed to help students, scientists and researchers deepen their knowledge in this critical knowledge field. This course brings together multidisciplinary research, development, and innovation for a wide study of Biotechnology and Bioengineering.
Course Contents: 1. A general overview on biotechnology and bioengineering 2. Biosensors and biomaterials 3. Steps and tools for PCR-based technique design 4. Developments and perspectives in bryophyte biotechnology in sub-Saharan Africa 5. Hypotoxic fluorescent nanoparticles delivery by cell-penetrating peptides in multiple organisms: from prokaryotes to mammalians cells 6. rhBMP-2-Coated acellular dermal graft for chronic rotator cuff healing: Translational tendon repair research 7. Structural design, fabrication and evaluation of resorbable fiber-based tissue engineering scaffolds 8. Microbioreactors and perfusion bioreactors for microbial and mammalian cell culture 9. Integration of membranes and bioreactors 10. Microbial bioremediation and different bioreactors designs applied 11. Phytoremediation of effluents contaminated with heavy metals by floating aquatic macrophytes species 12. Performance of anoxic-oxic sequencing batch reactor for nitrification and aerobic denitrification
