Course Objectives: This course aims to introduce basic concepts, theoretical perspectives, and practices that are useful for understanding how people and teams behave in the workplace, factors that may influence these behaviors, and improving performance, and well-being.
Course Contents: Organizational outcomes (job performance, counterproductive work behaviors, organizational citizenship behaviors and other work-related outcomes), Individuals’ work-related attitudes (i.e., job satisfaction, involvement, commitment, engagement, etc.), personalities and values as they pertain to organizational behavior, decision making in organizations, affect, group-level constructs such as team dynamics, organizational culture, and leadership.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Demonstrate a basic understanding of OB theories and concepts,
  • 2- Define and explain individual, group, and organizational level attributes that influence employee outcomes,
  • 3- Critically analyze key issues and dilemmas in the field of organizational behavior,
  • 4- Identify and explain cross-cultural variation in the impact of different variables on organizational outcomes.
