Dersin Amacı: | Ders, öğrencilere • Batı Dışı Uluslararası ilişkiler teorileri ve Küresel Politika hakkında güçlü bir bakış açısı kazandırmayı amaçlamaktadır Bu ders aracılığıyla öğrenciler, Batılı olmayan dünyada devlet, toplum ve dış ve iç siyasete yönelik çeşitli yaklaşımlar hakkında bilgi ve bakış açısı kazanacaklardır • Dersin sonunda öğrenciler, uluslararası ilişkiler ile ilgili tartışmalı konuları anlayabilecek, bu konuyu öğrenmenin avantajlarını ve zorluklarını değerlendirebileceklerdir. |
Dersin İçeriği: | Batılı olmayan dünya ve siyaseti, belli başlı sosyal bilim disiplinlerinin ve özellikle uluslararası ilişkilerin çoğu tarafından sürekli olarak göz ardı edilmekte ve genellikle Alan Çalışmaları çerçevesinde analiz edilmektedirler. Geleneksel teorik geleneklerin çoğu, Batılı olmayan dünyayı, özellikle de Küresel Güney'i, ya ana akım uluslararası ilişkilere yabancı ya da sadece büyük gücün, sınıf egemenliğinin ve/veya etnik/ırksal rekabetin bir etkisi olarak görür. Bu ders, öğrencilere geleneksel akademik yaklaşımların dışında, Batılı olmayan dünyayı ve uluslararası ilişkileri Batılı olmayan sosyal, politik, cinsiyet ve sınıf konfigürasyonları ile analiz etmeye çalışan bir bakış açısı kazandırmayı amaçlar. Bu, Batılı olmayan dünyanın öğretisini yalnızca dış aktörlerin ona ne yaptığından ziyade kendi üzerine merkezleyen alternatif bir yaklaşımdır. Bu yaklaşımın amacı, dış aktörlerin ve süreçlerin etkisini reddetmek değil, dış ve iç arasındaki bu ayrımın batılı olmayan dünyadaki siyasetin incelemesini ve analizini ve küresel siyasetteki yerini sınırladığını ortaya koymayı ve Küresel Güney’in dünya siyasetindeki yerini belirginleştirmeyi hedeflemektedir. |
