Course Objectives: The course aims to provide a foundational understanding of statics and dynamics, focusing on the analysis and solution of problems related to equilibrium, motion, and forces in engineering systems. It develops analytical and problem-solving skills essential for real-world engineering applications.
Course Contents: The course covers fundamental concepts of statics, including equilibrium, structures, and friction, and dynamics, focusing on the kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies, as well as mechanical vibrations.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Apply Principles of Statics and Dynamics: Demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve problems related to equilibrium, motion, and forces in engineering systems.
  • 2- Use Analytical Techniques: Utilize vector mechanics and mathematical methods to solve statics and dynamics problems.
  • 3- Analyze Structures: Evaluate internal forces in trusses, frames, and machines.
  • 4- Understand Motion: Analyze and understand the kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies.
  • 5- Conduct Dynamic Analysis: Evaluate mechanical vibrations and dynamic response of systems
  • 6- Solve Real-World Problems: Apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering scenarios and enhance problem-solving skills.
