Course Objectives: 1. To teach the students the main subjects of international law of the sea and enable them to use these knowledge on specific cases 2. To understand the legal problems arising under international law of the sea and to learn the dispute resolotion mechanisms
Course Contents: International law of the sea, internal waters, territorial waters, straits, continental shelf, exclusive economic zone, high seas, deep sea bed.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO):
  • 1- Student learns the content of the international law of the sea.
  • 2- Student learns the maritime zones and the jurisdiction of the States in maritime zones.
  • 3- Students learns the legal problems to be arised between the States and the dispute resolution mechanisms regarding these problems.
