| Course Objectives: |
To gain the basic skills necessary for academic life including research proposal development for graduate students. |
| Course Contents: |
Introduction. How to pose research problems. How to define objectives, targets and project outcomes. Research Proposal Development Phases: Development and writing the originality part of the proposal. Describing the methodology. Building the work plan and describing the work packages, deliverables, risks and alternative plans. Describing the impact of the project. Combining the components and presenting as a research proposal. Evaluation and refinement of a research proposal. Budgeting and the other related issues in submitting a research proposal to a funding agency. How to evaluate and criticize a research proposal. |

- 1- Ability to describe the concepts related to research proposals such as originality, objective, literature based need analysis, target, impact, and outcome.
