| Course Objectives: |
The students are expected to:
• Learn the phases to develop & produce digital applications.
• Work in groups by the guidance of the instructor and develop ideas for applications for digital media.
• Use different media production tools both software and hardware for development.
• Learn to be creative on writing textures and design.
• Learn to determine the best strategy to make.
• Learn to design an app visually.
• Learn to use audio visual contents on design and development. |
| Course Contents: |
This course aims to emphasize the multi-way of creative thinking, making research and producing different types of applications for the digital world. The students will have an advanced understanding of the methods and techniques of development of digital apps, as well as develop strategies to manage and promote their app projects in groups. They will also learn aesthetic uses of dynamic app design practices and financial dynamics of application development and management in real-time. |
| Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit (LO): |
- 1- Ability to understand the basics and fundamentals of developing and creating digital app ideas on any subject, in groups.
- 2- Ability to develop skills of conceptual writing for app development.
- 3- Ability to develop skills of working with audio visual contents to design a digital app.
- 4- Ability to develop skills of using different types of hardware and software in order to develop and design digital apps.
- 5- Ability to raise awareness about formulating a bold strategy for development, management and distribution steps of making digital apps
- 6- Ability to add interactivity to their projects
- 7- Ability to learn to design dynamic apps that communicate messages effectively

| Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods: |
The course consists of 3 basic modules. These are: 1. Concepts, Skillsets, idea 2. Practice/ 1: strategy 3. Practice/ 2: design The assessment is divided into three modules. Modules often start with an introduction that reveals the necessity of the concept that will be analyzed within the module. Students later are asked to present their observations and do projects related to the concept to be able to interiorize the knowledge. The projects are graded 70% of the total coursework. The rest of the overall grade, 30% will come from the ability to do group work, attendance and contribution to the class. |
