| Dersin Amacı: | Bu ders, tarihöncesinden günümüze insanların nasıl giyindiğini, bedenlerini nasıl süslediğini ve dış görünüş aracılığıyla kendilerini ve kimliklerini dünyaya nasıl sunduğunu incelemeyi amaçlar. Ders boyunca kavramlar, teoriler ve hem arkeolojik hem de modern örnekler üzerinden giyim ve bedenin süslenmesi pratiklerini yalnızca işlevsel bir unsur olarak değil, kimlik, toplumsal cinsiyet, yaş, statü, ideoloji ve aidiyeti ifade eden ve pekiştiren güçlü bir araç olarak ele alacağız. Arkeoloji ve antropoloji, sanat tarihi, tarih gibi alanlardan gelen farklı örnekleri bir araya getirerek bedenin süslenmesi, giyinme pratikleri ve kamusal görünüşün maddi ve sembolik boyutlarına dair eleştirel bir perspektif kazanacağız. |
| Dersin İçeriği: | Dönem boyunca, giysi ve süslenme örnekleriyle, tarihöncesinden bugüne uzanacağız. Bitlere dair antik DNA verileri; Paleolitik dönem boncukları ve pigmentler; Neolitik dönem duvar resimleri, heykeller ve süs eşyaları; Tunç ve Demir çağlarından iğneler, kemerler, mezarlar; ilk tekstil ve dokuma teknolojileri; Antik Yunan, Roma, Bizans ve Osmanlı’da giyim kuşamın maddi ve görsel izleri, dersin temel örneklerini oluşturacaktır. Bu bağlamda, takı ve süs eşyası yapımından saç ve giyim stillerine, dövme ve beden süslemesinden giysi ve süslenme tercihlerini hem mümkün hem de zorunlu kılan teknolojik, maddi ve sosyal koşullara kadar geniş bir yelpazede bu pratiklerin üretim, kullanım ve anlamlanma süreçlerini tartışacağız. Öğrenciler dönem sonunda arkeolojik, tarihsel ya da modern öneme sahip bir giysi veya süs eşyası örneğine dair bir araştırma projesi tasarlayacak; ders boyunca bu proje için gerekli araç ve becerilerle donatılacaktır. |

| Dersin Öğrenme Yöntem ve Teknikleri | Sunumlar, okuma ve tartışma, yaratıcı etkinlikler, ödevler, müze gezisi ve final projesi. • Haftalık dersler (60-90 dakika): temel kavramlar, örnekler, kuramsal çerçeve. • Haftalık sınıf içi ve dışı etkinlikler (90 dakika): o Müze ziyareti, o Okuma ve tartışma o Yaratıcı kısa pratikler o Kısa ödevler ve tartışma • Final projesi: öğrencilerin arkeolojik, tarihsel veya toplumsal öneme sahip bir giysi ve/veya süs eşyasının hikayesini araştırdığı bir proje tasarlaması beklenmektedir. |
